CoolPaws Travel Cooling Mat

It actually cools down!!!! and my dog loves it on hot days! He uses it all the time. I wish they made one for humans!!

Dog loves it! Cools down and machine washable

I bought it for my 90lb husky/golden retriever mix who has an increasingly hard time cooling off as she gets older. Summers here are in the 90s and she starts panting at 65 degrees so I needed something that worked. This item is cool to the couch, which I was excited about when I first opened it up. My dog laid on it for a little while and after about 10 minutes I checked the temperature. The part that she made direct contact with was very warm, and so was she. It seems to just soak up her heat. The surrounding areas were still cold. The blanket also warms up very quickly in the sun. My dog has no preference with the blanket, her regular ones, the hardwood floor, or a carpet. There is no clear indicator that this blanket can cool my dog down. Another disappointment.

The mat is a nice material but the back is very slick. It does not stay in place. It has virtually no padding so it is similar to a very light blanket. I have others that I prefer over this.

Our 2 dogs love these. Nice and cool for them when warmer weather comes or I use now because their fur has growing out and they are hot.
